Apple Music reveals the 10 best albums of all time

The Apple music application has ended its countdown with the 100 best albums of all time, announcing today those that are the best for the platform. 10 best albums in history. The chart began last week, featuring ten albums each day, from positions 91-100 all the way to the top 10.

Apple Music explained that this classification is not based on popularity within its platform or commercial success, but rather it is a list that is democratically chosen by a group of experts in the matter. This is an editorial statement, independent of streaming numbers on Apple Music, and is a tribute to the records that have shaped the world music lovers live and listen to.

The top 10 of the best albums in history for Apple Music is this:

To explain the choice of Lauryn Hill in the highest place on the entire list, Apple highlighted that her debut album, and only solo album, was a seismic event in 1998: “a deep look and raw to the spiritual landscape of not only one of the biggest stars of the era, but of the era itself. Lauryn Hill was, and remains, a once-in-a-generation talent whose inspiration and innovation can be heard through the decades. Many artists need long discographies to create a coherent work resonant enough to reshape the culture and inscribe its creator in the pantheon; “Lauryn Hill achieved it in a single album,” explains the Californian company.

Apple has also created a radio show to allow listeners to understand the story behind each album.
