The Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope, that is the name of this new mission announced by NASA. The name was given in honor of Nancy Grace Roman, an astronomer who became one of the first female executives to work at the space institution.

To date, NASA has a fairly extensive number of telescopes, both terrestrial and space-based, but this project plans to leave all of these behind with the technology that is planned to be added.

With quite considerable size, hundreds, perhaps thousands, of filters, a wider field of view, images with hyper-sharp resolutions, capable of seeing stars with infrared and optical light wave, and with the ability to see through cosmic dust, This telescope promises a lot to the scientific community.
