While the CEO praises the Vision Pro’s high-resolution displays, he believes Apple has made too many compromises for it.

Vision Pro isn’t better than Meta’s $500 rival
While the price of the Quest 3 model is $ 500, Vision Pro is sold for $ 3,500. But after using Apple’s title, Zuckerberg believes the Quest offers better value and is “a better product.”
“But overall Quest is better for the vast majority of things that people use mixed reality for,” Meta’s CEO says in the video. “Quest… you know, I think it’s a lot more comfortable.” It is 120 grams lighter, making it more comfortable for daily use.
However, the lack of a wired battery pack means greater freedom of movement, especially when gaming. Hand controls and hand tracking further help with this.
But Zuckerberg emphasized the Quest’s wider field of view, which offers a more immersive experience. He appreciated the Vision Pro’s high-resolution displays, but Apple’s compromises were too much. However, he also drew attention to the blur that occurs when moving with Apple’s headset.
He also praised the Vision Pro’s eye tracking and revealed that Meta would bring it back in a future Quest headset release. Zuckerberg’s video was shot using the Quest 3’s Mixed Reality toggle mode and was of surprisingly impressive quality.
Meta has been in the AR/VR space longer than Apple and has invested billions of dollars into its efforts. None of this undermines the fact that the Vision Pro has superior hardware.
